The Balm Time Balm Concealer ~ Lighter then light VS Benefit Boi-ing Concealer ~ 01 light

I've been using the balm for a week and a half. and boi-ing for 6 months.

Time balm comes in a small lip balm pot of .26 oz and Boi-ing is 0.1 oz
 Boi-ing's pot is wider but flatter, which is nice and lets you put a brush in it.

The balm is a little bit drier and is a beewax formulation ( better for acne skin)
Boi-ing is creamier as it has mineral oil in it  ( I didn't notice any breakouts from the mineral oil but I did put it on  grapeseed oil/ hempseed oil and smashbox primer before use)

The time balm lasts longer then Boi-ing if your doing activity
The balm is 18.00 and boi-ing is 20.00

Time balm you can layer on without it looking cakey
Boi-ing being so smooth with the oil you have to put setting spray between layers so it stays so you can't really layer that well.

Boi-ing  is smoother putting around your eyes but creases more throughout the day
The balm you have to blend in more and apply smaller amounts at first since its drier.

I feel like Time balm does a better all job of hiding my acne as it stays better and has the ability to layer
All in all I really enjoyed the balm and will be switching from boi-ing as the price is better and their product works just as good and it has less of a chance to give me a break out and that always a plus!

Here my review on my ipsy products for this month:

Pixi Bronzer Summertime

I honestly did not care for this bronzer compared to my rimmel london and too faced bronzers. I'm really pale and this took a lot of product to show up and did not last long. I loved the subtle honey scent though! I would recommend this one as a highlighter or contouring for forehead and jawline, while using another one for my cheekbones to get the bronzey color I want.

Pros- Does not show up orangey is matte and not shimmery! Works well for winter weather, as its super light and just gives you a touch of color. It smells like honey, I kept smelling the light scent throughout the day. I loved that!

Cons- Doesn't last long, needs applied heavily.

Nailtini Champange

First off I don't use a base coat or top coat to rate nail polish,because I want to see how well it is alone.

This nail polish is wonderful, it's lasted a week without any chips and I'm hard on my nails!!! It also dried super fast, I did two coats and it was dry in 20 minutes. I know that sounds like a lot of time but without a speed drying coat on thats pretty great and no smearing.I will be buying other colors of nailtini because of the dry time and durability.

Pros- Lasts long, no chipping! Fast drying!

Cons- Has a strong smell but I have had worse (seche vite)

Em Michelle Phan Lip Balm pillow plush vanilla

I honestly gave this to my daughter as it's a great lip gloss and has no stickness but is very sheen and had no color to it. It made my lips soft, it would be a great lipstick base. I own multiple lip glosses and this was nothing special to me.

Pros: Not sticky, Applies smooth and leaves lips silky, smells pleasant and no taste

Cons: Very sheen and the price is crazy for this color, I would not pay 15.00 for a lip balm without tint... I have my tried and true cake batter chapstick for .99

Be a Bombshell HOT DAMN lip crayon!

Pros: Very nice color, very pigmented and moisturizing.

Cons: It's so moisturizing it starts bleeding off your lips even with a lip primer or lip pencil, I even applied it lightly and I still ended up with lipstick on the outside of my lips!

I won't be buying more in the future, for such a deep color and it not stay in place is dreadful and not useful to me. I'm thinking of letting it sit out without the cap for a few days and trying it again!

Starlooks Amethyst eyeliner

Pros: This goes on so well, with no pulling/ tugging at all. The metallic purple is a very pretty color and goes so well with my light complexion. This also lasts all day without smudging!

Cons: It's a pencil, so it needs sharpened and I hate doing that. Lol 

Cailyn Mineral Eyeshadow Champagne

Pros: Very pretty color, I used this with a shadow brush and primer as its a must for this!

Cons:  Horrible concept with the sponge tip to apply eyeshadow on. It's like a lip gloss sponge and none of the product sets right on your eye using it. Without a good primer this doesn't last long, after 4 hours it wasn't even visible.

I won't be repurchasing and its mainly because of the packaging.

Well all and all it was a good ipsy haul!!!

Acne? Makeup solutions.

I have acne. Can you tell? I feel like yesterday I was having a terrible breakout. (heres some pics of me with my natural, got up late makeup) I have some zits on my forehead, my cheeks, chin and lip area.

But with contouring and shading you can literally hide any flaws!
I'm wearing:
Grapeseed oil as a moisturizer,Smashbox primer,Boi-ing concealer 01 light and Revlon photo ready powder 05 fair, Bombshell blush Just beachy, anastasia brow pencil brunette, Jane. rose gold eyeliner, benefit mascara and buxom dolly lip gloss. I also used my samantha chapman brushes to apply my foundation and blush.

So I recently decided to try this brand of eyeliner, I was always hesitant as it's a cheaper brand. 

$6.00 dollars and you can get it at walmart, kohls and amazon.

I found two that I really like that are pigmented and last a long time, They also don't flake while putting on, they are very creamy and don't tug your eye either like dry ones do. Those two are the ones pictured ROSE GOLD and AQUA

I tried out 15 of the 19 colors and I have to say some are duds and some are amazing! So you definately need to find a place who has the testers for these. I got mine at kohls and they have almost every color and testers for it!

I wore the Aqua one today and literally every girl who saw my eyeliner asked me where I got it.

Real Techniques by Samantha Chapman Lash-Brow groomer ~Review~

Today at work (kohls) we got in some real techniques brushes in our new beauty department!! I'm so excited to test them all out, this will be my first review on real techniques for the eyelash/ brow brush. I have several makeup brushes by real techniques but decided this one had to be reviewed first. I've been dying to find a metal eyelash comb and found this one for 6 bucks I got it for 3.50 with my coupon and employee discount. heres the link

Pros: The handles for real techniques are light aluminium and the length is just perfect 4 1/2 inches long and its super easy to hold.They have rubber grips at the end but I usually hold my brushes in the middle right above the grip so this isn't as useful for me. The Eyelash comb on this is wonderful and seperates your eyelashes, wayyyy better then normal plastic ones. When used after application of ANY mascara it gets the clumps out amazingly and helps make your lashes look super long,This has made my trial size mascaras that I didn't care for actually useful! This handy tool has made my yucky clumpy mascaras pull off the long lushish lashes YAY!

 Now the brow brush, I have only used a couple times. I used it after I applied my eyebrow pencil or eyebrow powder and it blends in my eyebrow makeup very well, Its perfect for that. I also used it for shaping those brows for a trim and tweeze!

Cons: The only thing I can say bad about this is it has metal pins on it and you could poke your eye!!! So if your shaky and clumsy stay away and get a plastic one and coat that with a little hair gel/eyelash primer to unclump your mascara. The eyebrow brush is a little bigger then usual eyebrow brushes just a tad and not a life changer but I like mine smaller for more precision.

Overall, I recommend this eyelash-brow brush it does its job very well and I'm glad I bought it!!! For the price and quality, this is amazing and will be a top tool for makeup gurus everywhere!

Urban Decay Mascara SkyScraper~!

Pros: The brush is tiinnyy!! It has short rubber bristles, like shorter then I have seen with these type of brushes. Which is good for shorter lashes as you can get closer to the base of the lash. The wand is longer then most mascaras. The tube is a rubberish texture and is black with purple writing and swirls. Adds thickness and volume but no length!

Cons: Smears and is difficult to put on lower lashes. Does not make lashes appear longer (skyscraper) just adds volume!

 

I won't buy again, I will be returning it to sephora... As nothing compares to Benefit they're real and sephora lash action mascaras.

Urban Decay brow box Review~!

Ok, So I recieved my brow box by urban decay today and I LOVVVVVE IT!!! I got the color brown sugar and it matches my medium brown hair very well. Theres two colors and the darker one is the one I used. I got tons of compliments on my eyebrows at work today and I usually use my anastasia brow pencil or brow wiz. I took this picture of me after a 8 hour shift at workSo this is me with full coverage makeup covering my extensive acne and my brows done with the brow box going for a natural hippie look today.

Concealer tips?

How to do your concealer. I know, I stole it from the body shop but this is a excellent little diagram had to share!!! 
I do mine in a exact V starting from the inner corner and ending at the outer corner. I also put a dab of highlighter right in the middle of the v and blend outwards! I use boi-ing by benefit in light 01 and it works wonders for me!

Review on Healthy Sexy Hair Soy Renewal Nourishing Styling Treatment

I have thin hair and a lot of it. I can't brush my hair when its wet or even barely damp. Last time I went to the salon they had to have 3 people cut my hair as it tangles so bad. My hair is not color treated but acts like it's been bleached several times. My hair isn't damaged at all very healthy I would say, just drys out and is very thin!!!

I started using this back in march when I got a sample size from my ipsy bag. I immediately fell in love, I stopped using it after the sample was gone and didnt buy it again until september as I couldnt find it at a resonable price. $20.00 bucks is expensive for 4.2 oz. Well they had it at ulta for 9.00 for their breast cancer awareness version and I stocked up... 

I use this every other day and love how it soaks in and doesn't make my hair feel extremely greasy like other things I have used. I use this as a overnight treatment and put just a dab in it while drying it and my hair is brushable now! It also smells wonderful like a light honey smell.

This has done wonders for my hair. I can brush my hair without it breaking or knotting and have had compliments on how shiny and healthy my hair looks now!!!

I definately recommend this if you have thin hair and unmanagable hair!

Ugh Acne and my constant struggle~ review on DuDu Osun soap

So I saw a youtuber beauty guru going on about this soap and decided to try it...

It looks rather strange and doesnt smell that great either. It's also a bar soap which 

puts me off, as I like liquid cleansers!

I have combination skin with cystic acne on my lower chin and occasional pimples on my t zone.

I used this soap once in the morning and once at night, I wear full makeup 4 days out of the week.

Day 1 I used the soap once at night to remove makeup about 2 hours later I noticed my skin was a little peely and dry...

Day 2 Washed face with normal face wash (the body shop tea tree oil foam cleanser) in the morning hydrated with (apothcary rosey cheeks) as my skin was peeling. Wore my makeup for 7 hours while at work once I got home washed it off with dudu osun.

Day 3 Woke up with no new zits Yay!!! Skin Isn't as peely and dry now, decided to wash with the dudu osun soap. I wore no makeup and at the end of the day washed with the dudu osun again.

Day 4 Skin is dry but peeling is minimal. I have two zits but tiny things and on my eyebrow a place I dont break out at all. I washed once in the morning and once at night.
Day 5 holy macarol!!!  I woke up with two cysts on my chin and about a dozen or so random zits on my cheeks! and severe dry skin. continued to wash with the soap morning and night
Day 6 Skin is painfully dry but zits are dried out and going away.( used 100 percent hemp oil face cream as it doesnt make me break out.)
Day 7 The dryness is getting better and no new zits wore makeup.( it was hard to wear makeup as my face was dry in some spots and scabby wear the zits were)
Day 8  Zits are dried out and no new ones
Day 9 Dry skin no new zits
Day 10 Dry around mouth and nose everywhere else is amazing and normal, no new zits
Day 11 Wore makeup for 8 hours and had a zit underneath it when I took it off, washed with the soap and it was dried up and almost gone by the next day.
Day 12 A couple new zits and dryness around mouth
Day 13 Skin is still dry complexion is starting to get better on forehead cheeks and nose
Day 14 Seems like my skin is getting use to the dryness, I only had to use moisturizer on the corners of my mouth. No New zits
Day 15 Skin is even now but dry on corners of mouth, a cyst on my chin has surfaced after two months. I also have two on the side of my jawline that are hard and have not surfaced so hoping the soap will help them.


OK, So I used this stuff for 2 weeks straight, I would purchased again as it did help my acne stay under control. I do feel, I need to use it longer just because my skin did purge(the zitties came to the surface) and with wearing makeup and all. BUTTTT I hate the dryness and you definately need a good moisturizer thats non comedogenic to battle the dryness. At times I couldnt open my mouth, as it was so dry!!! All in all if you have oily skin thats not sensitive this would be a excellent soap to cure acne!

Sigma Creme De Couture Palette Review

So I needed a Bright shadow palette to add to my collection but with staying power and for a affordable price. I recently tried the sephora academy palette  http://www.sephora.com/makeup-academy-palette-P381158?skuId=1534858 and it had no staying power and smudged throughout the day even with a great primer but I loved all those bright wonderful colors. I also have been looking at the sugarpill palettes but $35 for 4 colors is a bit pricey.
So I decided to take the leap and try this out. I paid $35 for this with shipping (mind you this has 16 colors) I also had a promo code. I was suppose to get a free gift with it but sigma did not include so that was a bummer. I also ask if the did any samples as I had never tried this brand and they never even responded to me not getting my free gift or if they do samples(WTH).
 Then my stuff arrived horribly packed. I thought my eyeshadows would be broken because when I opened the box there were no packing peanuts or bubbles just a statement and the palette. Thankfully the palette was intact. SOOOO sigma gave me crappy customer service.
 BUUTTTTTT The Palette is amazing!
I love how its matte and how the colors last a long time and how they have minimal fallout. My fav colors  are the ginger pumpkin and almond pear.
If you love a pop of color and want quality,I suggest this palette but hurry its limited edition!
